Manash is the Executive Vice President & Co-founder of Chase India (AvianWE Group Company) and also a founding member of the firm. He has a rich experience of over 18 years spanning across government relations, policy advocacy and communications.
Manash has extensive knowledge of the regulatory environment and processes and deep relationships with stakeholders across diverse sectors. At Chase India, he specialises in the Security, Food & Beverage and Technology domain, providing counsel to the senior management across clients on engagement with the Federal and State Governments, public sector entities and other relevant agencies. He has actively engaged and advised clients on crisis management and issue resolution through well-positioned interventions with Government stakeholders. Prior to founding Chase, Manash has worked with leading global advocacy and communication firms in the country. He has also worked closely with Members of Parliament across the political spectrum and even served as the lead campaign manager for some of the MPs/ parties. Manash's close engagement with prominent law firms and senior counsels in India has helped him gain valuable insights into both the decision making procedures and nuances observed by the Indian parliament.
Surya has over 12 years of experience as a Policy Advocacy and Communications professional. She has strong expertise in devising result-oriented advocacy and risk mitigation campaigns and driving thought leadership programmes for clients.
During her work at Chase, she has gained experience in a range of policy issues pertaining to new business categories such as ride-sharing and online travel aggregators. In addition, she has also worked closely on sectoral issues such as alcohol control policies, nutrition, blood safety among others. She has been instrumental in driving successful multi-stakeholder partnerships for clients, especially across North-Eastern States, Maharashtra and Gujarat, helping them build goodwill and equity in the market.
Surya graduated in Economics from Pune University and completed her post-graduation in public relations and corporate communications from Xavier Institute of Communications, Mumbai.
Kaushal has over 10 years’ experience in spearheading Government Affairs & Public Policy campaigns for Fortune 500 companies in the technology and e-commerce sector, addressing stakeholders at the Federal and State level in India. Kaushal has a deep understanding of diverse aspects including data protection & localization, cyber security, consumer protection, cloud computing, electronics manufacturing, fintech and public procurement. Last your years, Kaushal has extensively consulted companies, on aligning their business priorities with the government’s flagship programs such as Digital India, Smart Cities, Startup India, Make in India and Cashless India.
Kaushal has authored some compelling public policy articles on data localization, consumer behavior in digital era for leading Indian publications and enjoys moderating for policy debates on various forums.
Prior to his role at Chase India, Kaushal worked with ASSOCHAM, a leading industry association in the country. He holds an MBA in marketing, and Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
In 1983, Satyan Gupta joined the IRSSE Cadre of Western Railway. Since August '94 he worked with Ircon International Ltd and was involved in the execution of option fibre and other projects dealing with modern telecommunication systems at a national and international level.
Till Nov. 2006, he worked as the Principal Advisor with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), designated as a Additional Secretary to the Govt. of India and headed the Fixed Network Division. He also authored "Everything over IP. All you want to know about NGN in 2011. He was also deputed as an ITU expert on an UNDP assignment on Internet Exchange and International VOIP Gateway and IP based Interconnect Exchange for Bangladesh. Apart from that, he has also been a member of NGN regulation review group of ITU. He is the founder President of ACTO, an Industry body of dedicated Carriers and an Executive Member of National ICT Committees of industry bodies including ASSOCHAM, CII and FICCI.
Avika is an advocacy and communications professional with over 8 years of work experience across diverse set of companies, responsible for devising result-oriented campaigns ad overall programme management.
She brings in expertise in stakeholder management, government engagement, issue-led and media advocacy programmes for clients across diverse sectors like tourism, environment, public health and food and beverage. She has worked on engaging campaigns for corporates, not-for-profit organisations and multilateral agencies including stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV and AIDS; creating a category for early childhood care and education; advocating for the introduction of an action plan to combat air pollution in Delhi NCR; creating an ecosystem for e-waste management in India and cultural change programme for responsible service of alcohol.
In the past, she worked for a consulting firm, Technopak Advisors in the sphere of retail, education and health. She holds a MBA in Marketing from the School of Inspired Leadership and B.Com (Hons.) undergraduate programme from Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University
Mark is the co-founder of the British Education Centre, Director at The Hearth Education Advisors, and Director for Executive Search at Sheffield Haworth (India). Mark has worked in India since 2002, first as a diplomat and since 2006 in different capacities, as a company promoter, director and advisor.
Over the course of his career, Mark served for over 25 years in the British Diplomatic Service, with postings in Paris, New York and New Delhi, where his last stint was as the Deputy Head of Mission, managing Britain's biggest diplomatic operation.
Mark is on the Advisory Board of Avian WE, among India's leading PR/ Public Affairs firms, as well as Public Affairs, based in Bangkok. Mark is also on the Boards of Elara Capital (Asia) and SQN Services Pte Ltd in Singapore and has also served on the Boards of Mindtree, G4S (India), Religare Capital Markets and A4e India. Mark was for many years the India Advisor to the Confederation of British Industry, the UK's leading trade federation, and chaired the British Business Group in Delhi. He is a Director at the Business and Community Foundation, a CSR-focused NGO.
