Roundtable on Circular Economy Roadmap for India
Globally, reports project a steady increase in annual e-waste generation, rising by 2.6 million tonnes each year and expected to reach 82 million tonnes by 2030. India's circular economy in the Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) sector is gaining traction, bolstered by the government's commitment to sustainable development goals. The transition from a linear to a circular economy in the Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) sector presents numerous challenges. In light of this, Chase in collaboration with the Centre for Digital Circular Economy for Sustainable Development Goals and the India Policy Forum at O.P Jindal Global University, hosted a Roundtable Discussion on Circular Economy Roadmap for India for the EEE sector. The outcome from the discussion outlined to adopt a focussed and collaborative efforts that integrates circular economy principles across the EEE sector is of primary resolution to attain the overall objectives of circularity.
