Wadhwani Institute of Technology & Policy Workshop
Chase partnered with Wadhwani Institute of Technology & Policy for this event with a view to deliberate on the composition and governing structure of DMO and the draft national data governance framework policy to assess the implementation and monitoring gaps. The event saw participation of stakeholders across industry, government, academia and civil society with separate sessions specially curated for each stakeholder group.

The recommendations were well received by Government stakeholders and were accepted by them. Alkesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology was the chief guest for the event and was deeply appreciative of the event creating a forum to discuss the nuances of the draft policy. The Union Budget 2023 also announced that it will launch the National Data Governance Policy, to enable access to anonymised data to promote innovation which was in line with the discussions during the event.
