Webinar on Australia-India Cooperation: COVID-19 and Beyond

The Australian High Commission and Chase India co-organized this webinar in May 2020 to take stock of the current socio-economic conditions in India, the lockdown opening strategy and the need for stronger Indo-Australian bilateral, political and economic relations for a safer future.

Manash Kalita Neog, EVP and Co-founder, Chase India moderated this panel of renowned speakers like H.E. Barry O'Farrell, Australian High Commissioner Designate to India, Ms. Meenakshi Lekhi, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, India, Mr. Pranab Dhal Samanta, Deputy Executive Editor, The Economic Times and Dr. Gyanendra Badgaiyan, Senior Fellow, IDFC Institute and Advisor to the State Governments of Punjab and Delhi, as they delved into how India has handled the pandemic and the path it must take to emerge stronger than before, from a healthcare and labour perspective. The panel also explored the future of Indo-Australian trade and discussed concerns regarding protectionism in the aftermath of the pandemic.
